Baseball Pairs II: A Continuation of Stories
Week 8 | M, Tu, W, Th, F | Smith Library Classroom | Ages 15 and up
This is a creative way to approach baseball history, touching on literature, sociology, American mythology — all the things baseball brings us to. It allows us to look at obvious pairs (Maris and Mantle/Ruth and Gehrig) but also come up with imaginative pairings (Philip Roth and Rex Barney) to offer a traditional lens and an imaginative lens to see baseball and our crazy quilt culture.
