Adilene Rosales
Adilene is a ceramic artist based in Mission, Texas. She received her BFA in studio art and minor in Psychology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She is currently working on her MFA at the same institution in studio 3D with a concentration in ceramics. Adilene chooses to use clay because of the fragile states there is to this medium which represents how fragile our children are and yet the awareness given to this cause is not enough. Adilene’s work focuses on statistics and the reality of this disease. Childhood cancer is a disease that does not discriminate against any age, race, social status or gender. Adilene hopes that her sculptures will make the viewer feel compelled and take action. She hopes that one day there will be enough research to find cure. She plans on continuing to raise awareness through her art, as well as help raise money for research and or families being affected by this disease.
