Climate Salon: Turning Angst into Action
Week 7 | August 9–11 | Hultquist Center 201B | Ages: 14+
How can we turn the worry surrounding the climate crisis into joy in our communities? In this course, you will identify and develop practical solutions to a climate-related issue that's important to you. Come with curiosity about the climate crisis, openness to a wide range of solutions, and hope for better communities to come. No prior knowledge of climate science is required — just a desire to make a meaningful difference in your community.
Class Times
Students should come to class prepared with the following materials:
- Laptop computer or other devices they can use to do in-class research on the internet;
- Personal note-taking supplies.
Brynn Fuller-Becker
B.S. & B.A. in Environmental Science & Engineering Studies, Lafayette College. Clean Power Fellow for New Yorkers for Clean Power; Public Educator for 350.org. Brynn is an environmentalist and activist residing in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She seeks opportunities to utilize her communication and organizing skills and experiences in a wide range of environments to connect with others and empower the public in the fight against climate change.
