Emily Dickinson: "My Business is Circumference"

The ever expanding wisdom of Dickinson’s poetry that we experience with every encounter, reading and rereading her words and contemplating her ideas and poetic images, never cease to fascinate while enlarging our self understanding.

Class Times

Students should come to class prepared with the following materials:

  • A copy of The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson, either the Franklin or Johnson edition.

Kaye Lindauer

M.S., M.L.S., M.Div. Studied and taught psychology, literature and theology over last 45 years. Combines these disciplines to bring new dimensions of understanding to the world’s great stories (mythology, fairy tales, bible stories). Taught at Syracuse University for 30 years. Continues to study the writing of Carl Jung, leads retreats, teaches for Road Scholar and for Oasis (Syracuse, NY) and frequently lectures for various organizations. This marks her 31st year with Special Studies.
