Embark on a visual exploration of Chautauqua with our daily landscape painting class. Learn about composition, light, mixing color and utilizing value in this popular class! The class meets outside every day, weather permitting. Join us for an extraordinary and enriching artistic journey, seamlessly blending creativity with the beauty of the great outdoors.

Sam Kelly

Sam Kelly is the Chautauqua Visual Arts Assistant. He is an artist and educator, currently residing in Dayton, Ohio. He earned a BFA in Painting from Wright State University and an MFA in Painting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Sam has completed residencies at the Chautauqua School of Art in Chautauqua, NY, and Four Pillars in Mount Gretna, PA. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally including the CICA Museum, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea; THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, Venice, Italy; Surface Gallery, Nottingham, United Kingdom; Blue Mountain Gallery; Bowery Gallery; First Street Gallery; and Prince Street Gallery, which are all in New York City. Sam currently teaches as a Visiting Lecturer at Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana.
