Intermediate to Advanced Teen and Adult Sailing Lessons
Week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 | Turney Sailing Center | Ages 13+
Chautauqua Institution's Sailing Department presents a comprehensive one-week sailing course. This course has been carefully designed to advance the sailing skills of teen and adult sailors. We are equipped to provide courses and lessons using a variety of sailboats including the Sunfish, Laser, Vanguard Club 420, Flying Scot, and the American 18. This course is held in the afternoons when the wind is stronger and can be more challenging conditions.
The Instructors are US Sailing Level 1 and Level 2 trained sailing instructors who have years of on water experience teaching sailing. Our staff is drawn from experienced high school and collegiate sailors as well as from seasoned professionals, the majority of whom are experienced competitive racers and US Sailing Certified Instructors.
Sailing is a physical sport that requires agility entering and exiting boats. Students will be evaluated by the instructors. Students must be able to swim.
