Long Day's Journey into Night: Interpretation and Performance

This class is a literary and theatrical examination of one of the great masterpieces of 20th century American theater. One of the instructors has directed the play twice professionally, and the other will view the literary merit of the story of this family as it deals with its issues of addiction and co-dependence.

Mark Altschuler has taught for over 30 years at the high school and college levels and for more than 20 years in Chautauqua’s Special Studies program. He has learned that discussion classes work exceedingly well with Chautauqua participants.
