Masters Series Masterclass with Lauren Coyle Rosen: Goddess: A Revisionist History
Week 9 | W | Smith Wilkes Hall | Ages 14+
Cultural anthropologist Lauren Coyle Rosen presents a lecture and discussion based off an in-progress book manuscript, which traces biographies of several major goddesses from multiple cultures throughout time. In tracing the glorious rises and tragic falls of several goddesses, we can come to understand more about the erasure or overshadowing of goddess figures over time. What happened to them, and with what effects for our contemporary cultures and our shared humanity?
