Mobility and Meditation

Week 9 | M, Tu, W, Th, F | Heinz Fitness 2 | Ages 14 and up

Whether you are already active or just getting back to exercise, it is always important to focus on joint mobility and stability. Being “too loose” in your joints makes you flexible, but unstable and prone to imbalances. Being constricted inhibits your range of motion and increases your risk of injury. The first part of this class focuses on all joints, but especially the hips, shoulders and spine. The second part of the class focuses on breathing exercises and guided meditation to promote relaxation and increase resilience to stress.

Bring a yoga mat and large towel/blanket.
