Self-Defense and Aiki/Karate Skills

Week 7 | M, Tu, W, Th, F | Turner Center Gym | Ages 12+

This class is a basic introduction to the martial arts. Students will learn some easy-to-apply self-defense techniques along with exercises to improve your mind, body and spirit, as well as the history of martial arts. We will examine both the physical and metaphysical sides of self-defense. Students will learn techniques against open hand and against weapons such as a knife, gun and club. One week does not lead to mastery, but students will leave with a skillset to apply for self-defense.
