Storytelling — Finding Wisdom in Classic Stories

Weeks 3, 4 | M, Tu, W, Th | Turner 105 | Ages 18+

Once you have experienced the joy and magic of storytelling, you will want to be a part of this ancient art form! In this class we will explore genre from poetry to ghost stories, noodlehead stories to fairy tales, and discover tales from many different cultures. We will study the precepts that create an enjoyable storytelling performance. The instructor will perform several stories each day, and participants will listen, respond and discuss. Participants will also be encouraged to research, learn and tell stories or poems of their choosing. Performance, however, is not required!
