The Paris Wine Tasting of 1976

Week 3 | Tu | Turner 106 | Ages 21+

Known as the Judgment of Paris, a wine competition was organized on May 24, 1976, in Paris by British wine merchant Steven Spurrier in which French judges carried out two blind tasting comparisons: one of top-quality chardonnays and another of red wines. What was not known by the French wine tasters was that the organizer put in several Napa wines that won! We will recreate our own version comparing a Napa versus France with two chardonnays, two cabernet sauvignon blends and two syrah-based blends. The French wines will be from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Rhone.
